Obama

What are we to make of the Obama victory? I have now heard one thousand different versions of the very same statement. Something akin to this being a new beginning, transcending history, race, and an opportunity to right very old, very horrible national wrongs. I believe this to be true, but something more important is also true. This is a very intelligent, inspiring man who ran one of the best, most disciplined campaigns in American political history. And his victory, once and for all, puts an exclaimation point on what history is sure to regard as the least productive, most corrupt administrations ever. With it, the dismantling, and discrediting of an ideology based on bombastic talk radio, chest thumping jingoism, thinly veiled bigotry, and elitism. In this regard, Obama's victory is our victory. I have no idea what type of President he will be, but I am proud to have voted for him, and wish him the best.

You got me to look up jingoism. So political, so educational. Nice.
